Bathroom Renovation Reveal: The Wonderland Washroom

I wanted to share some of the design process behind Dream Loft Studios in Bushwick starting with the bathroom, which I call the Wonderland Washroom! Here’s the before of the bathroom when I first rented the space!

To say I was concerned is a bit of an understatement. But I actually ended up taking inspiration from the enormous utility sink and decided that an elevated version would be perfect for the space! I searched online for ‘utility sink’ and was so excited to come across this wall mounted utility sink from Vintage Tub & Bath. I was so inspired by just the sink that I actually designed the entire bathroom around it.

Then came time for everything to start going in! Seeing the transformation of this bathroom was so wild. Now it’s seriously one of my favorite parts of the studio! From the whimsical wallpaper to the scalloped tile to the brass gooseneck wall mount faucet, the Wonderland Washroom is not to be missed.

The overall color bold scheme and gold accents really brings a touch of elegance and sophistication to what was once a drab space. The combination of modern fixtures with vintage-inspired details creates a unique and inviting atmosphere that guests always compliment me on.

If you're thinking about updating your own bathroom, don't be afraid to think outside the box and incorporate elements that truly speak to your style. You never know what kind of wonderland you might create!
